A virtual talk with Merchant’s House Museum Historian Ann Haddad as she discusses the remarkable life of Bishop Samuel Seabury, from his early days as a rector in Westchester, to his war of words with Alexander Hamilton, and finally to his election as the first Episcopal Bishop of America at the Glebe House in 1783.

Museum Hours:

The Museum is Open for the 2025 Season. 

Hours:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Last guided tour at 3:20 pm.

*The Museum will be closed on Sunday, May 18, Friday, June 27, and Friday, July 4.

The Gertrude Jekyll Garden:  Open year-round, 7 days per week, dawn-dusk, for self-guided tours.

 *Please excuse our appearance as our staff has begun restoration work in the Jekyll Garden.  The Garden will remain open to the public throughout the restoration.
