Traditional wassail is a beverage made from hot mulled cider and spices,
drunk as an integral part of wassailing, an ancient Yuletide drinking
and singing ritual that involved “charity” giving to ensure a
good apple harvest in the following year.
Come dressed in your cozy, festive attire and join us at the Glebe House for a holiday celebration that includes indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting). Gather by a crackling fire, savor a hot drink, and listen to seasonal music.
During the holiday season, the Main Floor of the Glebe House Museum will be decorated for guests to enjoy while celebrating and buying holiday decorations.
Guests are invited to enjoy a selection of sweet and savory hors d'oeuvres, and various beverages such as warm "spiked" Wassail, apple cider, wine, and sparkling water.
Celebrate the season's joys by joining Yuletide caroling with friends and neighbors.
