The Glebe House Museum & Gertrude Jekyll Garden is one of Woodbury’s most important historic sites and operates as a private 501C3 nonprofit educational and cultural institution and promotes historic preservation, history and gardening. Its purpose is to maintain and preserve the house and garden by providing educational programs, workshops, events and tours for children and adults. Last year more than 5,000 visitors from all over the world enjoyed the house and garden for tours, children’s after school and day long summer programs, adult workshops and volunteer programs, open house days, and family events. The museum is full of wonderful surprises and has a fascinating story to tell that is heightened by its architecture, furnishings and garden.

Community support is vital in keeping The Glebe House Museum & Gertrude Jekyll Garden thriving. Donations received through GIVE LOCAL will help to support historic preservation, and share more 350 years of history and culture. The Museum is located at 49 Hollow Road in Woodbury and is open for regular tours Wednesday through Sunday from 1-4PM beginning May 3rd. The garden is open for self-guided tours during daylight hours. Special group tours and special programs for children and adults take place throughout the year. The Museum’s major fundraiser An Evening of Festive Dinners with Friends will take place on May 20th.
